Not so fast

Debbie Schlussel took a break the other day from her near continous caterwauling about how oppressed white people she is by evil-doers to point out that Canada elected a Conservative. That Canada's conservatives are more liberal than our Democrats isn't something Debbie is going to concern herself with, or more likely isn't aware of.

Poor Debbie, looks like Stephen Harper is no Tony Blair:

Harper showed little hesitation in slapping down U.S. envoy David Wilkins for making critical remarks about Conservative plans to boost Canada's presence in the far north.

"The United States defends its sovereignty, the Canadian government will defend our sovereignty," Harper told reporters during his first news conference since the election.

"It is the Canadian people we get our mandate from, not the ambassador of the United States."

People like Debbie confuse conservative with ass-kissing the United States or Israel. Sorry Deb, that's not how it works.

Simple Schlussel should probably just stick to vilifing Muslims.
